Skyworld PlayStation VR Review: Clash Royale meets Total War in Virtual Reality (Image: Vertigo). Skyworld reinvents classic strategy gameplay for VR without compromising on gameplay depth by using intuitive VR controls and providing player feedback right on the VR battlefield. Skyworld is, of course, a real-time strategy game, but what I really like about how Skyworld is different is that you don’t automatically just jump into battle. A VR game that doesn’t involve shooting or surviving waves has arrived on PSVR.
Skyworld – PSVR Review. I applaud Vertigo for trying something new, but when it comes down to it, VR doesn’t really enhance a board game and simple strategy experience like this, and it often became more tedious and convoluted than fun.
Ironically enough, if a first-person shooter zombie game has a polar opposite, it would probably be Skyworld. With a near perfect VR implementation and great presentation, Skyworld is a great experience.
